Dr Robin Chok from Regenesis Cosmetic Surgery in Adelaide, SA is loving the results he’s getting with body contouring using enCurve, a device that permanently destroys and eliminates fat cells via radiofrequency. He tells us why he loves the enCurve as much as his patients do.

When I first came across the device in Taipei 3 years ago, I was immediately drawn to the fact that enCurve utilised a specialised frequency (27.12 MHz) giving a higher absorbency factor of the adipocytes, which differed from any other traditional RF. It also delivered 300 Watts of power which penetrated deeper, so not only was there a greater effect on the adipocyte, it also had the added benefit on the tissue molecules for patients who suffered from osteoarthritis.

One of the main features with enCurve is it didn’t come into direct contact with the patient, thus protecting epithelial tissue. While you are safely destroying the adipocytes, the device constantly adjusts the energy delivered. This ensures and maintains heating of the tissue to 45 degrees giving a more effective treatment. Not only do you get circumferential reduction, some firming and tightening of the skin tissue also occurs.

More effective treatments with no pain or downtime

Treatments are more effective due to the specialised frequency and, with no pain or downtime, patients can see real results after a few treatments. The device is easy to use so varying patient results due to different operators is not an issue, as the chance of human error is removed due to the capabilities of the device. You can also safely leave the patient, checking on them only periodically. enCurve is a benefit to any business who offers body contouring. It gives advanced results and works in conjunction with any other body treatments that you may offer.

PISA (personalised impedance system application) minimises energy loss and achieves a better clinical outcome. PISA technology overcomes the shortcomings of any other RF device. The fact that it continually searches and focuses on the adipocytes specific to that patient ensures a customised treatment every time.

How many treatments?

Patients attend weekly or fortnightly and the treatment takes about an hour. 4 to 6 treatments are recommended as a minimum per area. After the consultation/assessment and any hormonal or metabolic issues are discussed with the doctor the treatment can proceed.

There are two different applicators available with the enCurve for a variety of treatment options. Either can be used for patients depending on the treatment area and as the applicator wings can wrap around the area being treated, we can treat multiple areas, for example, abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms and buttocks.

Patients are loving the treatment as they have some time out to relax, while the machine does the work for them. They like that there is no downtime, no dieting, just healthy eating, regular exercise (which can be as little as walking) and a good water intake. Our patients are seeing changes in their shape, and are able to wear clothes in a smaller size due to the volume loss. They also notice the texture and tone of the skin has improved. Overall, they are feeling more confident within themselves and their appearance.

enCurve is a game changer

enCurve is definitely a game changer due to it being easy, non-invasive, no downtime, pain free and giving real results as a standalone treatment.
