Dr Rassapoom from Thailand was one of the popular speakers at Cosmedicon 2019
One of the best things about these industry conferences is the insight you get into what goes on behind the scenes… the technology that goes into the devices; the energy and processes that make our favourite clinics so successful; the new treatments that are making waves and why. It allows you to get a glimpse into new techniques and treatments that patients are going to love; the practitioners getting groundbreaking results with unique approaches that they share with their colleagues. Cosmedicon 2019 had all of this and more, and Plastic Surgery Hub was thrilled to be a part of it.

With the Sydney Opera House as a backdrop, the stage was set for a successful conference
The Cosmedicon conferences focus on all aspects of cosmetic medicine including clinical business strategies, best practice protocol, how practitioners can incorporate and effectively use social media in their practices and understanding the ever-changing industry regulations; but the main reason for my attendance at these events is to get the low down on the various treatments and devices that patients are having or should look out for.
There were so many highlights for us including Dr Judith Hellman, Dermatologist from New York; Dr Glen Calderhead from Lutronic, Dr Patrick Bitter from Silicone Valley, Dr Rassapoom, Dermatologist from Thailand and of course our amazing Aussie surgeons and practitioners Dr Niamh Corduff, Dr Anh Nguyen, Dr Paul Gerarchi, Dr John Flynn and Dr Steven Liew just to name a few.

The Casino Royale theme was a blast!
As usual many of our favourite device companies were in attendance including Sciton and High Tech Medical, many of who had workshops demonstrating their newest devices and treatments. We always feel so lucky that many of them give their time so the Hub can pass on these awesome new treatments to you, the patient.
Of course, this wrap wouldn’t be complete without thanking Michelle Kearney and her team and loyal tribe from CosBeauty for organising such a successful get-together with a who’s who of the aesthetic industry from Australia with some notable international guests. The networking opportunities and the social events are always a highlight, and the sense of ‘family’ generates through and through. Thanks Michelle you’re a true rockstar!
Thanks to all those involved in Cosmedicon 2019, and keep an eye out for all our podcasts and blogs from the conference which will be posted in the coming days and weeks.
