The annual Cosmetex conference, run by the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS) is here once again and 2015 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet! With an estimated $1 billion spent on cosmetic procedures in Australia each year, the industry is going from strength to strength. We are now known as one of the leading countries in the field, and the Cosmetex conference attracts world class plastic and cosmetic surgeons, cosmetic physicians, dermatologists and nurses, as well as industry suppliers and professionals from all over the world, not to mention the best in Australia.
This year delegates from Australia and overseas will be convening in Melbourne, and the venue will be host to various speakers, workshops, master classes, discussion panels, interviews and networking breakfast, lunches and dinners. The topics covered will include the latest stem cell research and developments and how it affects the cosmetic industry, the latest fat transfer techniques, the role media plays in the cosmetic industry, the latest devices and treatments on the market, surgery techniques, the latest rejuvenation treatments, patient safety, practitioner education, dermal fillers, injectables, lasers and so much more!
It is an amazing chance to meet, listen to and learn from some of the best in the industry, many of them at the forefront of the latest research. Many of the speakers not only have their own practices but they are on the Boards and members of the leading industry bodies.
There are many highlights and one is sure to be Dr David Castle, a psychiatrist with a wealth of experience and insight into the psychology behind body dysmorphic disorder as well as various other areas of expertise.
This is an event Plastic Surgery Hub looks forward to each year and this year is no different. We will be conducting interviews with various speakers and presenters and look forward to sharing them with you.
