Wow, I’m keen to get home and ‘back on the wagon’ because I can assure you I’m totally “Off the Wagon” at the moment! Suffice to say I don’t even want to talk about it! It’s funny coz I’m not really disappointed with myself, I’m of the mindset where I’m more accepting of myself and the situations that arise in my life.
I’m going back home tomorrow which is pretty exciting, I actually can’t wait to get home, get to the shops, and finish my last 6 days proud and loud! Oh, and to cook myself wholesome, easy, planned meals again. Phew, what time is dinner?
So how did I get ‘off the wagon’. Well I promise it wasn’t intentional. It was more of a ‘laziness’. It’s so easy to not have to worry about what you’re going to eat. It’s easy not having to think about where the best place to eat is (I mean when you’re away here). In my defence (OMG sounds like a courtroom!), when I planned on starting this 30 day journey, I had no plan to go away on a business trip. But then again, in life, things happen all the time. Not everything is planned, we really just gotta go with the punches.
Well my daughter wanted to take me out to High Tea this morning. “Oh yeah, I’d love that!” Well that was how I started my day. High Tea at QVB Building. Pretty nice, definitely not part of the plan! But worth it!! From there the day got progressively worse food wise. I’m actually too embarrassed to mention the rest of my day. I will say it ended with chocolate. The only consolation is that it was quality Haighs chocolate.
My conclusion – bad start, bad finish. Don’t set yourself up for failure – start your day well and chances are it will finish well.
Looks like I’m gonna have to be an exercise-demon for the rest of the days, to make up for my straying.
Wow! Thats one mother of a brekkie!! Hope you made the most of it, it’ll probably be the last one for a while!!!!
