Seems like not even the crappy weather is gonna hold me back this week!  Got up with the sun shining today though, so thought to myself get up quickly and get out there before it turns yuk.

If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion

With exercise it’s definitely consistency that pays off.  I can see it in myself on the scales, when I make a consistent effort to move every day the scales tend to move downwards.  When I decide not to exercise and find myself just loafing around, there can be an upward trend on those scales. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not obsessed with the scales, however I do remember during my many years of struggling with my weight, I did go to see a psychologist whose advice to me was “get rid of the scales”.  Well I did just that, and it was a BIG MISTAKE for me!  Yes without a weekly weigh-in – or as I like to call it a ‘check-in’ – I really have absolutely no idea of how I’m travelling weight-wise.  Now I’m sure some of you may think mmmmmm she’s way too obsessed.  Well I would totally have to disagree with that – some people are in tune with their body and some people are still learning how to be in tune with their body.  I am the latter.  I am still learning how to be in tune with my body.  I am still learning what it feels like to be 3kg’s heavier or 3kg’s lighter.  There was a time when I would not have known if I was 100kgs or 80kgs, wouldn’t even have cared really. Pretty sad, but true.  Well that is not the case anymore, I am very aware of my body and how I feel when I’m looking after it.

So I’m setting myself up some “New Life Strategies” for when my 30 days are over.  I figured if I write them down and make myself a rule that I read them on a daily basis – I will put them up in my bathroom, so that I read through them everyday.  I figure that the more I read it, the more ingrained it will become.  After all, repetition is the mother of skill. So here are my first 2 strategies.

New Life Strategy # 1 “Look After Your Body, It’s The Only One You Have”

New Life Strategy # 2 “Give yourself a weekly check-in” – if you don’t like what you see, it will only take a day or two of ‘awareness eating’ to get back to where you were.
