FACTOR4 is taking the non-surgical anti-ageing market by storm. It has also been identified as one of the most effective methods for hair restoration currently available on the market. This exciting new discovery is helping men and women all over the country to solve an age old problem that until now, has been hit and miss with results. FACTOR4 is definitely not hit and miss, and it’s results are speaking for themselves. We spoke with ICCM (International Clinic Cosmetic Medicine) in Sydney about why this treatment is so popular at their clinic.

FACTOR4What is FACTOR4 and how does it work?

FACTOR4 is the process of harvesting a patient’s own blood in special tubes, then incubated for a period of 6 – 9 hours, then centrifuged the harvested plasma is extracted and filtered to become a highly concentrated serum. The serum developed contains a high level of growth factors and cytokines, these trigger the body’s own cells to improve hair growth and stimulates the actual hair follicles.

The treatment is able to:

  • Regrow hair to be thicker and fuller
  • Slow down hair loss
  • Boost scalp condition and health
  • Assist in preparation of the scalp for hair transplantation and assist in recovery of this procedure
  • Stimulate collagen growth on your scalp
  • Assist to treat a dry, itchy or inflamed scalp

ICCM started using FACTOR4 in their clinic in June 2016 and say they were motivated to get the treatment in their clinic because they had already done a lot of blood procedures over the last few years. The science behind FACTOR4 was enough to warrant a trial period, they have never looked back. “We have been getting consistently good results from FACTOR4 and we are achieving improvement in over 80% of our clients. We are consistently meeting and often exceeding client expectations”.

All FACTOR4 treatments at ICCM are carried out by Registered Nurses and qualified Phlebotomists (trained to draw blood). Erini from ICCM tells us, “We now know by isolating certain growth factors in our blood, it is possible to multiply these and reintroduce them back into an area where we would like to see improvement; in this case hair and scalp.”

FACTOR4 Hair RestorationFactor 4 can give particularly successful results with men in the early stages of hair loss ( up to 5 years). Factor 4 is suitable for most females in good health. Our female clients often have the treatments to simply improve the thickness and texture of their hair even if they are not suffering hair loss as such.”

The FACTOR4 procedure has minimal pain and a numbing cream is applied before the treatment to ensure client comfort. Erini says, “There is no significant downtime, clients leave with a slightly wet look hair and cannot wash their hair for 12 hours. There may be some redness in the treated area that soon settles down.”

The FACTOR4 clientele generally tend to be male clients in the early stages of hair loss or any female who just wants to stimulate growth of thicker, more luscious hair. Women can lose hair for various reasons, including stress or during pregnancy with the hormone changes that occur during this time, so this treatment is great to stimulate the hair growth again.

ICCM patients undergo a suitability consultation. “As in any cosmetic procedure client selection and suitability are important. Any and all relevant information regarding the treatment is discussed at consultation.”

FACTOR4 also works as an amazing anti-ageing treatment on the skin, neck, décolletage and hands. For more information or to book a complimentary consultation, you can contact ICCM on 02 9233 3103, or visit their clinic at:
