Anyone who knows me knows that my neck and jowls are one of the biggest areas of frustration for me when it comes to sagging skin. I’ve always been religious with my skin care but the older I get the more I can see a dangling little turkey neck appearing (more some days than others), and those jowls appearing. As you can imagine, I hear about dozens of “solutions” for this but I’ve also seen some of those so called solutions not work, and I’m definitely not ready for surgery. When I heard about Amber Renae’s awesome experience with the UltraformerIII I was a bit excited as I was really hoping this was going to help me as well.

So what is the UltraformerIII and how does it work?

The UltraformerIII uses ultrasound technology targeted at specific depths of your skin, to trigger the deeper dermal layers to grow new collagen which is said to not only give an immediate tightening effect because of the contracting of your skin but continues to show results of skin tightening and rejuvenation over the coming months.

Shaun from Cryomed did my treatment, and he explains the depths as follows “injury points at 4.5mm which is the SMAS layer to cause contraction, 3mm in the deep dermis for collagen induction, and then 1.5 for superficial plumping”. I’m quite excited and he said that I’ll see some results in a couple of weeks, full results in a couple of months. It’s only been 6 weeks, and so far my results are definitely noticeable to me.

An easy way to explain it is like when you cook a steak. Yes, the “steak” thing. So what’s that? Well you know when you put a steak in the frypan and then it’s cooked and its shrunk? Well that’s because you’ve actually contracted the protein. So that’s what we are doing when we are hitting the 4.5mm into the SMAS layer with the Ultraformer. We are actually causing contraction points within the muscle which will give you lift and tightening. For example when you look in the mirror and you say “if I could just lift that up” – well the Ultraformer is the only technology that goes deeper into the muscle layer.

As its name suggests, Ultraformer uses ultrasound or heat energy, targeted at specific depths of your skin, to trigger the deeper dermal layers to grow new collagen which is said to not only gives an immediate tightening effect because of the contracting of your skin but continues to show results of skin tightening and rejuvenation over the coming months. Hence my result, so quickly!

My experience

My treatment only took around 20-30 minutes. He started on my neck which was actually ok. After my neck was done he started around my jawline from between my chin and each ear. That was not as much fun I have to say, BUT it seriously wasn’t that long at all, so I grinned and beared it all in the name of skin tightening. I do find that the Cryomed treatments are always amazing – they have your comfort at the top of their list of priorities. I had a bit of tingling and redness after the treatment but this quickly disappeared and while I couldn’t really see too much difference straight after the treatment, my results now – just over 6 weeks after the initial treatment – are pretty darn good. I have to say I’m pretty impressed as I had a similar treatment a few years ago from another device that wasn’t the Ultraformer and not only was I so unimpressed by that previous treatment, it was painful as, so I was a little bit hesitant and a little bit scared for the Ultraformer, but it was nothing like my previous experience.

Stay tuned, I’m not finished with this experience yet!
