If you’ve ever thought about having plastic surgery, it can be difficult knowing where to get good information.
Byron Bay local Trish Hammond, who has herself had three procedures, has developed a new website called Plastic Surgery Hub (www.plasticsurgeryhub.com.au) for those looking for support with any topic on plastic surgery.
Trish says that while researching her procedures, she became increasingly frustrated by the lack of impartial resources and real life stories from real people on the internet.
Visitors and members of the website can learn about procedures from specialists via articles, videos and connect with an Australia-wide community.
Independently owned and operated, the site includes valuable information on procedures – the risks, details on how the procedures are performed, answers to frequently asked questions and general help to prepare you before you walk into a surgeon’s office. The site also includes a Directory of reputable surgeons, a Shop and Forum for discussion on all your surgical queries.
Plastic Surgery Hub will be donating 10% of all profits from the website Shop to Interplast (http://www.interplast.org.au) a not-for-profit organisation which uses the services of fully-qualified Australian and New Zealand volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgeons to provide free surgical treatments in developing countries to people who would not otherwise be able to afford it.
