I discover new products, treatments or devices all the time and not all of them are great. But after my interview with Sandy from Lightstim I was absolutely intrigued and more than a little interested in this hand held device that seemed too easy to be effective! So, as with almost everything I come across and put on the Hub, I like to do my homework and find out if it really does what it says it’s going to. I have to say, I was really surprised when I saw the amazing results of one of our Hub team members who put her hand up to try the Lightstim.

I’m a 66 year old woman with the usual concerns about ageing. I have a coarse complexion with large pores, lines and wrinkles but so far, not a lot of fine crepey texture to the skin surface on my face. I was looking to refine the skin and reduce the appearance of my lines, especially the ones that I hate the most around the lip area.

I was pretty excited when I got to use the LightStim for Wrinkles. I used it religiously every day for 8 weeks and I have to say I was really happy with the results! It was really easy to use. You switch it on and hold it onto an area, it beeps at you every 15 seconds then you move it to the next area and it beeps at you after it’s been there for 15 seconds, and then again and again. It stops after 20 minutes of this, so you don’t need to do anything or think about anything at all the LightStim does it all for you.

Lip lines before & after

I focussed the lamp around the mouth area, concentrating mostly on the marionette lines and I can see quite an improvement in the depth and visibility of those lines. The general elasticity, due to what can only be attributed to an improvement in the increased amount of collagen has also improved. I am most pleased about the refinement of my skin in general which is noticeable in the areas where the lamp was concentrated.

It was convenient and easy to work into my daily routine as I was using it in the evenings while I rested, watched TV or read something. I found the timer to be handy in knowing when to move the lamp from one part of the face to another.

I have had comments since using the LightStim on how good my skin is looking.
