Trish: All right. Well, I’m here today with Dora from Advanced Cosmeceuticals. We’re going to talk about the Lycogel range, which I’ve just discovered now and I’m loving it. Tell us a little bit about it, Dora.
Dora: Lycogel is camouflage makeup, which can be used to cover certain defects or discolorations of the skin like birthmarks, but can also use post-procedure as well.
Trish: Okay. What’s the difference between this and a mineral makeup?
Dora: There’s been many solutions over the years provided for skin specialists to provide a go-to solution for post-procedure. Mineral makeup was the go-to because it was a healthier option, but when we look at skin camouflage like Lycogel, what we’re actually able to do is provide something that’s post-procedure, helping with the wound-healing response and treating the skin at the same time.
Trish: Oh and I believe it’s got anti-ageing benefits as well. So, what’s that?
Dora: What we have is a LYCO-Complex, which is actually made up of key 12 active ingredients that help with promoting oxygen in the skin, and moisturisation in the skin, as well as nutrition. Amongst those active ingredients, you’ve got antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E, helping to provide anti-ageing benefits.
Trish: Okay. It’s a little bit like a bb cream, is it? Is that right, or not really?
Dora: Well, not really. It’s much more … Well, it’s treating the skin at the same time. Amongst the products that we have, there’s 4 products to choose from. We have breathable camouflage, which is actually the foundation that’s providing a buildable coverage for clients. We then have breathable tint for those people like myself who prefer a lighter coverage. We also have a breathable concealer. We also have breathable balm, which is non-tinted. Great option for, maybe, a male client who’s had procedures.
Trish: Okay. If you want something light … If you don’t want any colour, you go with the balm. If you want something a little bit light, you go with the t-
Dora: Right. The tint. You can go with the breathable tint.
Trish: The tint.
Dora: Yes.
Trish: The camouflage is to completely cover …
Dora: It gives more coverage. The breathable tint still gives you coverage, but a lighter coverage.
Trish: Okay, great.
Dora: Yep.
Trish: Basically, there’s 4 products in the range. Is there SPF in it at all?
Dora: Yes. With the breathable camouflage and tint, as well as the concealer, SPF of 30. The breathable balm, the non-tinted, is a SPF 15.
Trish: Great. You put on in the morning, you’ve got your SPF, you’ve got your makeup, and you got your anti-ageing, and you’re done.
Dora: Perfect.
Trish: Fantastic.
Dora: Additionally to that, with the breathable camouflage, its staying power is about 8-12 hours. The need to reapply isn’t ‘til much later in the day, which is great.
Trish: Fantastic. Well, thank you so much for your time.
Dora: Pleasure.
Trish: If you’re after in this range, you can look it up yourself or drop us an email at info@plasticsurgeryhub.com.au
Thank you.
Dora: Thank you.
I have just read this blog. I didnt like the lycogel camouflage – too thick. I may try the skin tint and concealer together. Are these two products suitable for immediate post laser and IPL and which do you apply first? Also do you need sun cream. I live in UK many thks
