Aspect Dr – Medical Grade Skincare Review

There has been a medical grade skin care boom. Everywhere we look skin care companies are taking advantage of breakthroughs in research and technology and claiming to not only hydrate our skin but remove pigmentation, eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, boost collagen and goodness knows what else. There’s one I was hearing quite a bit of hype on that came along at the right time for me to try. It’s called Aspect Dr.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m probably the last person they’d have expected to be writing beauty product reviews. I’ve used Oil of Olay when it was Oil of Ulan, and I remember watching my nana apply it when I visited her when I was a little girl. When I was working in the city as an executive in the corporate world with a disposable income I think I tried almost every big name moisturiser and foundation on the market but always came back to Oil of Olay. I recently turned 40, and although I’m embracing it, I’m also aware that my skin is definitely not what it used to be. Researching and writing about plastic surgery and skin care and the like, every now and then I see something that sounds pretty impressive. Which is how I found myself with a range of Aspect Dr to try and review.

So, I got the Brightening Kit which is said to focus on pigmentation or dull and uneven skin. Definitely me! I started applying day and night as it says to do. Now, this is where I’m going to start sounding like a raving fan so I apologise in advance.

The Deep Cleanser

From the moment I started applying the deep cleanser – the first step in my new routine – I loved how it wasn’t too frothy or intense, it was just a nice little cleanser that I used hardly any of, and afterwards my skin instantly felt better. Cleaner. It made me ready for the next step.

Complete Pigment

It says to use a pea sized amount. I was dubious at first, but they are right… that’s all you need. The first time I used it I did two squirts but I didn’t take into account that I’d be putting more products on afterwards, and you don’t need it. So easy just to smooth the serum onto your face – it just glides on and you can just feel your skin loves it.

Exfol A Plus

So they say this is good for exfoliating; assisting in deep delivery of nutrients, antioxidants, refining and brightening. My skin loved it. After the first two steps my skin feels nice enough, but after putting this clear, non-greasy serum on, my skin is glowing. I mean it – it literally looks instantly brighter, like it’s finally getting the nutrients it needs.

Reservatrol Moisturiser

Again, as with the other products, you only have to use a pea sized amount. At first, I was concerned that my skin looked a little over moisturised and even a little greasy, but within minutes my skin had sucked it all up and was loving me.

Living in Byron Bay, I’m lucky to put foundation on to go to work nowadays, but now that I have my new morning and evening routine my skin is constantly hydrated, moisturised, glowing and definitely brighter. One of the things I love most about it is it’s so easy. It’s right next to my toothbrush so it’s just something I do when I clean my teeth when I get up of a morning and before I go to bed of a night. The amazing thing is, the longer I use it, the better I actually feel my skin is. I really do believe it’s making not just an instant difference, but a long term improvement on my spots, sneaky cheeky little lines around my eyes and just my general skin health. LOL – I actually agree with their naming of the kit – the Brightening Kit.

Thanks Aspect Dr for creating such an easy to use, instantly impressive skincare range!
