Every year the MyFaceMyBody Global Aesthetics Awards are hotly contested and the results are eagerly awaited. The prestigious title of being a MyFaceMyBody award winner holds recognition of being one of the best in the aesthetics industry, chosen from hundreds of applicants all over the globe.

Via live streaming from Las Vegas in their ground-breaking Global Virtual Aesthetic Summit (GVAS), the 150 winners were announced through their virtual awards platform allowing the awards to be a truly global event for the first time. Dr Stephen Handisides, CEO of MyFaceMyBody and the GVAS says in their media release to announce the award winners that they have been overwhelmed by the response of running the awards virtually. He says in the release, “Traditionally, the MyFaceMyBody Awards event was held in the key cities of London, Los Angeles, and Sydney, but as a result of the awards being held virtually, clinics, Medispas and doctors from countries such as Africa, Indonesia, Israel and Ireland have been able to enter.” He went on to say, “We announced the winners using the latest technology in live video streaming, to an audience of thousands. With practices all watching from around the globe. … we are really excited to see this new virtual platform grow.”

In the 54 categories, a few of our favourite Australian practitioners, surgeons, clinics and companies were winners with a special mention to Dr Nicholas Moncrieff and his team at Hunter Plastic Surgery who blitzed it!! Well done Dr Moncrieff, Amber, Jess and the team!!

GVAS A Huge Success

The GVAS were also a huge success with practitioners, surgeons, device representatives, clinics and their staff, nurses and anyone and everyone else in the aesthetics industry involved in a way they couldn’t before now. To move an aesthetics conference to being virtual is a stroke of genius and it gave more people the chance to attend and the ability to access presentations and experts in aesthetics where they might previously not have been able to. It allowed whole clinics to tap into the conference instead of just one or two representatives.

Trish Hammond from Plastic Surgery Hub was also asked to present at the GVAS as an expert on social media, particularly relating to the aesthetics industry, and her presentation was watched by people around the globe. Trish says, “I absolutely loved doing my talk on my social media and as it’s my passion to have all aesthetic businesses up to speed with their social media marketing, to be able to access so many at one time was really exciting. The feedback I received was overwhelming.”
