One of the things the aesthetics industry has been crying out for is more collaboration and cohesion in bringing clinics and practitioners together to implement best practice, and increase and maintain high standards across the board. Of course, the recent new regulations of the industry will help with this, but as aesthetics is reasonably new and growing at such a rate, it has been hard to keep up.
The Plastic Practice Managers Conference was created to help Plastic Surgery practices work together to face the changing landscape of the Cosmetic Surgery industry. Founders, Amber Moncrieff and Cheryl Taylor saw the need to establish a forum for clinics to come together and discuss these challenges, share ideas and bring the industry together. Consumers can be confused by clever marketing and misleading information and they believe by uniting practices with the same message, we can ultimately make a significant difference and ensure the public are better informed when making the decision to undertake any form of cosmetic surgery.
This culminated in a truly inspiring and motivating conference recently in Sydney, attended by practice managers of plastic surgery clinics all over the country and even a couple from NZ. I was proud to be a part of such a genuine, knowledgeable, hardworking and committed group of women, (and men!) who all had the same goal – to learn what they could and take back new ideas, procedures and skills back to their plastic surgery clinics to improve and better their services to their patients and clients.
- Advanced Skin Technology
- Exquisite Bodies
- Capstone System
- Advanced Cosmeceuticals
- Mentor
- Stratpharma
Plastic Surgery Hub was also happy to be a part of the team, and I was extremely flattered to be asked to present at the conference.
For any of you Practice Managers who didn’t attend the event, I’d definitely keep an eye out next year, and all of us patients and consumers, be sure that there’s a bunch of hard working people in the plastic surgery industry trying to ensure the standards and patient experience are always being raised, resulting in a true 5 star experience for all!
Note: The PPM is only open to Practice Managers from Australian and NZ fully qualified Plastic Surgeons. Managers in this category can apply for membership on the website: www.plasticspracticemanagers.com.au
Hi Trish,
My name is John Clark and I am the founder and CEO of ThermaVein USA. We are introducing a new machine with RF technology to treat facial spider veins. It is safe, fast, painless and extremely effective. It is also very profitable for a office practice. Aside from selling a physician the machine, we network groups of beauticians and aestheticians to provide patient referrals.
I am trying to establish my first placement in Sydney. I am looking to acquire an email list or someone to help us in this regard. I would look forward to any advice and comments you can provide me. I was given your name by Connie May.
I look forward to hearing from you
John Clark
