Healite II

Healite II uses light-based technology to help reduce the signs of ageing such as lines and wrinkles. It is also used to soothe skin following cosmetic procedures or treatments such as laser. This completely non-invasive low-level light therapy is an LED (Light Emitting Diodes) phototherapy system that emits low level LED light that stimulates, or “wakes up” your cells. Healite II is used before and after surgery to enhance procedure results, as well as for stand-alone treatments and has become a staple for clinics Australia-wide.

The Healite II harnesses light energy and transmits this into the skin at specific wavelengths to assist oxygen, circulation and blood flow, as well as stimulates collagen production. It helps revive the skin at a cellular level which leads to improved skin tone and texture, while also assists in treating several skin conditions including:

  • Acne
  • Wrinkles
  • Scarring
  • Photo-ageing
  • Inflammation

When absorbed by the skin cells and tissues, Healite II stimulates several benefits for the skin, including:

  • Increase in oxygen and blood flow to promote collagen production and release toxins;
  • Improves skin elasticity leading to reduction in fine lines and wrinkles;
  • Helps to repair sun damage to skin;
  • Improves skin tone and clarity by normalising cellular imbalances;
  • Helps with sensitive and inflammatory conditions such as acne, psoriasis, rosacea and eczema;
  • Great for laser after care treatment to minimise redness;
  • Increases hydration;
  • Stimulates acupuncture points and immune response.

Healite II also allows skin to better heal itself after any trauma including surgery.

Studies have shown that skin cells grow 150% – 200% faster when exposed to the correct wavelength of LED light. It triggers biological changes that repair the skin at a cellular level and result in glowing, rejuvenated, healthy skin. While results can be seen after the first treatment, a series of treatments are usually recommended to suit the individual patient.

LED Therapy is suitable for all skin types, however the number of treatments required can vary with skin type and condition. By using an ideal wavelength, Healite II is powerful enough to penetrate deep where it is needed without causing any damage to skin tissue.

Healite – The LED Light everyone’s using September 27, 2018 - My daughter loves the Healite LED light treatment and so many surgeons I know have one in their clinic for their patients. I caught up with Joanna from Advanced Cosmeceuticals at the recent ASCD2018 Symposium to talk about the Healite and why everyone wants this treatment and practitioners are offering it to their patients not just as a stand alone treatment but before and after surgery to maximise procedure results. Trish: Hey listeners. Well I’m here again with Joanna, and Joanna is from Advanced Cosmeceuticals and Lutronic. And today we’re going to talk about the Healite, which actually is an LED light. So, it’s becoming, like people are starting to now hear about it just not by name, and know what light therapy is like. But, it’s quite mind blowing and it’s quite interesting. It’s just for those people … Well, actually, it’s for everyone. But, my daughter particularly loves it because she’s not into anything invasive, but she likes the way it makes her skin feel and the fact that it gives her a glow. So today, Joanna is going to give us a bit of a rundown of what it is, how it works, and you can pretty […]
Get your skin beautiful and ready for summer! September 20, 2018 - There are several non-surgical procedures and treatments that can get rid of dry, old skin (always more of a problem after winter!), some of them more effective and popular than others. How do you know which one is right for you? To start with you need to make sure your clinic or practitioner has the right training and experience, and is suitably skilled to give you the right advice. Dr Gavin Sandercoe, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon, offers several of these treatments at his skin clinic in Bella Vista NSW and chatted to us about which ones are most popular at this time of the year to get your skin ready for summer. Chemical Peels Peels are amazing to get rid of the outer layer of dead skin that builds up over time and gives your skin a more youthful appearance. Dr Sandercoe says, “Chemical Peels stimulate faster cell turn-over, pushing healthier layers of skin to the surface while the older skin cells are shed. This results in a more youthful appearance to the skin. There are three types of chemical peels we offer: Lactobotanical Peels (Lactic Acid) – this peel has particular advantages over glycolic acid peels, including less irritation […]
Low level light therapy for skin rejuvenation July 19, 2018 - Sometimes we all just feel like we need a little pick-me-up. Non-Surgical Treatments Complementing Surgical Procedure. July 18, 2018 - Gone are the days where plastic surgeons do surgical procedures without also offering non-surgical treatments in their clinic. It is well recognised that combining any surgical procedure with the right non-surgical treatments can enhance any results from a plastic surgery procedure. Dr Bryan Mendelson, one of Australia’s most experienced and highly respected Plastic surgeons, understands the benefits of offering patients non-surgical treatments in combination with aesthetic facial surgery. Dr Mendelson’s practice offers specialised non-surgical treatments performed by highly experienced clinicians and nurses and his Skin and Injecting Clinic. PSH chats to the practitioners at The Skin and Injecting Clinic (TSIC) to find out why it is important for patients to combine non-surgical treatments to enhance their surgical procedures. How do non-surgical procedures help with a plastic surgery procedure? There are various types of non-surgical treatments used in conjunction with surgical procedures. Whether it’s to prepare your skin in the lead up to your procedure, or to help soothe your skin, reduce scarring or promote faster healing after your procedure, or to help contour your face for an enhanced and optimal desirable final result. Healite II Healite is now known as one of the most popular non-surgical treatments to be used […]
