After years of struggling with the size of my thighs I decided to undergo liposuction to the inside, front, sides and back of my thighs. I am 22 years old and have always been relatively fit and healthy. However, my thighs remained to be out of proportion to the rest of my body (with my upper body sizing usually between a woman’s 8-10 and my lower body a solid size 12). I have also had a significant amount of cellulite on my thighs since I was around 13-14 years old. Before undergoing the liposuction I had tried dieting and targeted exercise to slim my thighs. I also tried creams to reduce the appearance of the cellulite. Though these did help, I remained unhappy with the size and look of my legs.

Going ahead with liposuction was not a decision I came to lightly. I spent over a year researching the procedure and it’s results. I read several reviews about the painful procedure and was a bit apprehensive about whether it would work for me. I also had concerns about skin sagging and other complications. At the beginning of 2016 I met with Dr Paul Quinn in Perth for a consultation. Dr Quinn had a look at my legs and told me how liposuction could work to slim them down. Throughout the consultation he was honest about what I could expect after liposuction. He could tell that I was nervous and apprehensive about the procedure so talked me through each stage, the recovery and healing process thoroughly. Dr Quinn also advised me that in order to see the best results and how my skin would react to the liposuction, it would be best to break the process up into three stages. I decided to go ahead with the procedure.

The first stage consisted of liposuction to the front and side of my thighs. I did this under local anaesthetic so I was awake during the procedure. I chose this option because it offered a faster recovery alternative to General anaesthetic (which would have made me drowsy for a day or two after). I did not have any issues with doing liposuction while awake. Dr Quinn and the nurses were are incredibly accommodating and encouraging throughout the procedure. Since I was able to handle the liposuction with minimal pain, Dr Quinn took out more fat then we had originally planned. I really appreciated that he kept working even though we had exceeded the agreed time for surgery. The first stage was the most rigorous. I had read that some people were able to go to work within a few days of surgery. However, due to the volume of fat taken out I was unable to do much for approximately 1-1.5 weeks. I was swollen and bruised for around 5 weeks, but the pain was almost non existent after the first week.

Three months after stage one, I went in for stage two of liposuction to the back of my legs. This procedure was less intense than the first one. In this procedure, Dr Quinn focused on the back and inner thigh. The procedure was shorter than the first one. I felt fine to move and work within 2 days. However, since the lipo was done to the back of my legs it was difficult to sit down for long periods of time.

At my latest consultation with Dr Quinn he advised me that I should wait no less than 12 months before deciding whether I will go through with the third stage of the process. The third and final stage is to ‘touch up’ my thighs and it would be too difficult to make a decision about this stage before seeing the full results of lipo (which take a minimum of 12 months).

The lipo did not reduce much of the appearance of cellulite, but I was not surprised by this because I understood that lipo is not for cellulite reduction. However, it made the size of my legs significantly smaller and I feel far more confident wearing jeans and dresses.

Overall, I am incredibly happy that I went through with the procedure. Having Dr Quinn as my surgeon made the experience even more worthwhile. I would recommend this to anyone who has struggled with the size of their thighs for many years and has tried to exercise and diet tirelessly.

I am 39 and live in Perth, Western Australia. After a decade of having two different plastic surgeons here in Perth and 2 general surgeons, one abroad operate on me I was left with shocking keloid scars and gaping scars. I was at wits end. It was embarrassing.

I saw Dr Paul Quinn in Churchill Avenue, Subiaco and in the first operation he radically removed the bulk of the scarring and reduced and refined the others. Unbelievable. I was gobsmacked. I had inner thigh lift, tummy tuck and arm lift. I then went and had breast implants. I had in the past a lift and reduction but these procedures were performed poorly. In the breast implant, he further reduced the scarring from the other surgeons and lipo suctioned my back. Love my new set of breasts. I then have had a necklift removing my double chin and fat transfers. Love love love the new me. Dr Quinn has given me a new lease on life. I thoroughly recommend Dr Paul Quinn for any procedure you require. Both my GPs are impressed with his work and are prepared to refer future patients to him. Dr Quinn has attentive to detail, which is what you want. He has impeccable bedside manner.

Plastic surgery is an art form and in my mind Dr Quinn is an artist. I am more than happy for people to contact me to discuss. Its crucial when having any surgery you have the best surgeons hands touching you. I would hate for anyone else to go through what i went through.

I was referred to Dr Quinn by my friend who had a breast augmentation. My other girlfriends also has their breasts done but by different Perth surgeons. I simply gravitated to the breasts that looked absolutely perfect.

From the first consultation with Dr. Quinn, I realised I was in capable hands owing to the fact that he listens extremely well and precisly articulates every aspect of the procedure, explains the rights and wrongs and gives you confidence in his vision of the end result.

Post surgery, 6 months later, he exceeded all my expectations. My breasts were even, soft to touch and with a perfectly natural D cup shape. In addition to breast augmentation, Dr. Quinn performed a re-shaping and lifting of my areola owing to breast feeding. My greatest concern with this procedure was post scar tissue and how visible the scar would be. Again, amazing, I can hardly see the scar and most importantly have lost no sensitivity.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Quinn and recommend him with no hesitation. Thank you so much.

After many years of considering breast augmentation surgery I finally decided to go ahead with the procedure. I chose Dr Quinn as my surgeon and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The consultation was very informative, the recovery was amazing and the results are perfect. I couldn’t be happier.
