Dr Jayson Oates is a highly knowledgable, an understanding and very kind practitioner. One of the very few in his field who intently listened and accommodated my request for a minimally invasive procedure. he had been the third surgeon l had visited.
I was extremely anxious as to the results of both the surgery and the Co2 Laser resurfacing to the eyes and neck. Which was totally unnecessary.
The entire experience has been a joy, from the beginning with the kind receptionist Zsusanna, the utmost care and understanding from nurses Kim, Fiona and Sofia and the super professional, modern in-house surgery.

After much research I was relieved to find Dr Jason Oates could perform laser treatment on the Xanthelasmas on my eyelids – something not many surgeons seem to do in Perth.
From the first consultation to the day of the procedure and post procedure both Dr Oates and his wonderful staff – both nursing and admin – helped to make me feel confident and went a long way to easing my nerves!
I am so pleased with the results and most grateful for the attention Dr Oates showed me during the procedure and at both post procedure appointments.

I would highly recommend Dr Jayson Oates and his team of nurses following my septoplasty and rhinoplasty. i had the best experience, from the initial consultation, to the post op appointments. Not only am i in love with the look of my nose, but my breathing has improved vastly. The professionalism and compassion from the team made my experience the best it could be. I’m usually a ball of stress and nerves before any operation and it was so comforting to know one of the nurses (Kim) had gone through the exact operation a year prior and she talked me through my nerves right up until my operation, for that i am so thankful. Dr Oates is highly skilled and knowledgeable, he has not only helped me with my self confidence through my rhinoplasty but also my breathing, prevention of nose bleeds through cauterization and my constant blocked ears, i cant believe i hadn’t seen him sooner, it has changed my life for the better and no words can describe how thankful i am. absolutely amazing!! I spent a considerable amount of time researching and looking at Surgeons available in Perth. Having previously worked in the nursing field (recognising many of the names) and currently working for a surgeon I had a good understanding of what my procedure would entail. I was very impressed with the information presented on the website and continuously came back to it. I have been going to Academy Face & Body for many years for various dermal therapies & have always been very happy with the results & comfortable with all the staff there.
In the year of my 60th birthday I decided to consult with Dr Oates for a full face/neck lift & on his recommendation a blepharoplasty.
3 months post surgery I feel fantastic. The before & after photo’s are amazing & I can’t thank Dr Oates & his whole team for looking after me so well.
So many people have said that I look really well but not quite sure what has changed & that is exactly the result I wanted.

I would definitely recommend Dr Oates following a septoplasty and rhinoplasty that I had in December 2018 for breathing correction. My breathing has immensely improved and I’m so happy with the new appearance. Dr Oates was recommended to me and provided clear and honest information during pre-op appointments without trying to ‘sell’ or talk me into anything. I am happy with the results of nose reshaping, although swelling will continue to take a while to reduce completely. All the staff were gentle, discreet and supportive. It’s a really busy clinic but my preferred timing was accommodated, and the information provided thorough and accurate.
I would highly recommend Dr Oates, his nurses and his team. I have received fabulous care. Full, detailed information prior to the operation and wonderful aftercare – Dr Oates has taken full consideration for my time restraints also. Absolutely fabulous!!!!
As I am into the second half of my sixties I never dreamt that I would
be convinced to have the heavy drooping eyelids, that hung more than
halfway down my eyes, removed.
Thankfully my wife convinced me to share a consultation with Dr. Jason
OATES and after agreeing to a prodcedure, I am estatic over the
result. A great surgeon with a level of empathy I have not encountered

I had a full nose reconstruction performed by Dr Oates May 2016, and I
couldn’t be happier with the results.
I broke my nose as a child which wasn’t fixed at the time because we
didn’t realise it had broken, over the years the break had calcified
which created a hump over the bridge of my nose, in addition to having
a severely deviated septum which was problematic for my breathing. In
my teen years I had a procedure performed by an ENT who unfortunately
was not fit for work at the time (he was self prescribing drugs and
has since been deregistered)and made the situation a lot worse, to the
point where the cartilage and tips of my nose completely collapsed
which led to my nose drooping. This ENT also flattened the bridge of
my nose too much which make it dip in the centre. He did somewhat fix
the deviated septum and my breathing improved, this only lasted a
couple of years and the diffciulty in breathing became an issue again.
12 years later I decided to get my nose fixed, I made an appointment
with Dr Oates through a referral from another ENT as he advised my
nose was so severely damaged that he preferred Dr Oates take a look at
it. I had a couple of appointments with Dr Oates where he explained
the issues with my nose and explained the procedures he would use to
fix it. He provided me with a quote and I booked in for the surgery.
Dr Oates advised me that he wouldn’t be able to make my nose perfect
but he would do his very best. I had the surgery, and Dr Oates spent a
couple of hours extra on my nose and it was a lot of extra work as
when he got in there he realised there was grafts in place, and barely
any cartilage left to work with. Dr Oates could have just performed
the procedure he originally told me he would do, but he went above and
beyond and totally reconstructed my nose. For this I am so grateful.
Once I had the plaster removed I just couldn’t believe, even with the
swelling, what an improvement the surgery was. My nose looked great!
After a couple of months the swelling subsided and my nose just keeps
getting better and better. The tip does have a slight slant to the
left, however this is minor and it’s incredible that this is the only
thing that I don’t like about my nose now, for such complex prior
damage it’s a wonder that Dr Oates was even able to fix any of it, the
result is terrific. Thank you Dr Oates for fixing my nose, I am very
very happy!
I had been unhappy about my skin, due to sun damage and wrinkles, for years but too nervous to do anything about it. Dr Oakes was recommended by a friend and four years ago I finally had CO2 laser resurfacing done to my face. The difference to the texture of my skin was amazing. The
success of this procedure gave me the confidence to have a neck lift two years later. My friends tell me I look years younger and I should not have waited so long. I can not speak highly enough of Dr Oakes and his team for their professionalism, thoughtfulness and the care I have experienced during the past four years. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Oakes to anyone thinking of cosmetic surgery as my friend told me four years ago ‘he is the best.’
I had previously had facial fat transfer by another doctor who had over filled my face leaving me looking disfigured. I went to see Dr Oats and he has changed my life making feel like normal again. I cannot recommend Dr Oats enough, not just a nice guy a fantastic Doctor. Anyone looking for any sort of surgery see Dr Oats first he is very knowledgeable and won’t cost you a fortune.

I have visited Dr Oat’s surgery several times and found Dr Oats and all his staff professional and friendly. I had my Basil Cell removed but unfortunately it had attached itself to a nerve. After having radiation and extra sugary, including a skin graft Dr Oats made me look and feel like myself again. I would recommend The Academy to anyone.
