Dr Moncrieff is an experienced Specialist Plastic Surgeon who is passionate about making women feel great about themselves. He founded Hunter Plastic Surgery with his wife Amber in 2009 in Newcastle, NSW.

Dr Moncrieff is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).He graduated from the University of New South Wales in Medicine with Honours in 1997 and completed 10 years of specialist surgical training in 2007.

As well as being published in medical literature Dr Moncrieff presents on a regular basis in various medical forums and conferences around the country. He won the prestigious Bryan Mendelson award for his breast reduction paper and presentation to the 2014 Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conference and recently co-authored a paper published in the March 2018 edition of the internationally acclaimed Plastic and Reconstructive Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons following his contribution to a national study on the functional benefits of tummy tucks. That paper went on to win a Best Paper Award in 2019.
Dr Moncrieff was also on the faculty of the Breast Masters Symposium held in Sydney in October 2018. It brought together international leaders in breast surgery for what was the largest breast conference in Australia’s history.

~ LIFE CHANGING ~
I was lucky enough to have my Breast Augmentation surgery just days before the COVID shut down. What an amazing experience I had with Dr Moncrieff and his wonderful team. I feel absolutely amazing about myself and felt so comfortable with my experience from my very first Vectra 3D surgery simulation appointment with Jessica.
One very happy patient (and the husband is also pretty impressed as well).
I recently had a tummy tuck and breast implants with Dr Moncrieff after losing a huge amount of weight. I booked a consultation with Dr Moncrieff and I was a little nervous of the unknown, he was so lovely and down to earth he made me feel so comfortable.
He explained the whole procedure and what to expect and that was reassuring for me. I then had a Vectra surgery simulator with Jess to see the size and shape before surgery. It was great!
Of course I kept saying bigger bigger but Dr Moncrieff suggested a more modest size and I’m so glad I listened to him because he is the expert in this field and my implants are perfect for my size.
The whole process was great, all the staff where so lovely and helpful through my treatment and I’m already planning my next little surgery through Hunter Plastic Surgery. Thank you so much Dr Moncrieff and team for giving me my confidence back.

I had my breast reduction surgery in June with the amazing Dr Moncrieff and safe to say I am over the moon with my results! I travelled from Canberra for Dr Moncrieff and he was worth every kilometre!
After researching I picked a couple of surgeons to have consults with, the first one in Canberra and thought I was set on doing it closer to home until I had my second consult with Dr Moncrieff!
He is so talented, personable, understanding and honestly the best of the best.

From the first time I went to Hunter Plastic surgery to see Jessica for a Vectra Scan, I was made to feel so welcome.
Jess made me feel at home, she was comforting, understanding, and supportive, shared her own experiences, which for me was a major tick. No one wants to be told they’ll look great, and you’ll be fine by someone who has no idea, or has never been through it.
Meeting Dr Moncrieff was no different. He was down to earth, honest, informative, and listened. We discussed what I was after, and went through options. I felt welcomed the whole time and was never rushed, made to feel I wasn’t important, or an inconvenience which is often the case in medical offices.
From my many emails and countless calls to Kylie in the office with silly questions, I was always met with a friendly response. I have been blogging my whole experience online and have had many comments and supportive comments from The team at Hunter Plastic Surgery, including Amber, Nicks wife. They really make you feel part of the family.
After my surgery, Nick called in to see me every day when I was in hospital, and again, was always super friendly, and genuinely listened to what I had to say. His clinic Nurse Alecia called several times to see how I was doing, and was super helpful when I had what seemed like silly questions.
I was also lucky enough to have Lily attend my surgery, and take photos and video at my request.
This has been great for my weightless journey blog, and for personal records. In summary, I cannot recommend Dr Moncrieff and his team enough. I am 100% happy with my results, and the treatment I have received. This man truly is a magician, and is extremely talented at that he does. There are not enough words to express how Nick has forever changed my life, and for that I will be forever thankful.

6 week update: Dr Moncrieff really does perform #MoncrieffMagic!
I’m now 6 weeks post my tummy tuck and just love the results so much!
After two babies I was left with a terrible muscle separation and excess skin. In fact, Dr Moncrieff said my muscles separation was almost the largest he had seen.
It meant I had a permanent bulge – to the point that other people would ask if I was expecting again. There was nothing I could do – diet and exercise made no difference!
I did my research and loved that Dr Moncrieff has so many happy patients who are happy for him to share their before and after photos. I’m on the Central Coast and looked locally, in Sydney and in Newcastle but seeing lots of real results on real women was important to me and Dr Moncrieff’s results are everywhere. He isn’t the cheapest but I feel like you get what you pay for.. he clearly spends the time doing the extra liposuction and really sculpting the waist.
When I came to meet him I just knew I’d made the right choice. He is such a lovely, friendly man. And he is supported by a beautiful team of women who really care. From his wife Amber, to Practice Manager Jessica and Nurse Leecy – you know you are in great hands.
And yes, the surgery is full-on and you need support around you to manage family (especially if you have young children), but the results make it all worth it.
I’m back in clothes I haven’t worn since before the kids. My back isn’t as sore and I feel like being active is a lot easier.
Thanks Dr Moncrieff – thanks to you I will be rocking a bikini once the warm weather hits this year!

From the first time calling I was made to feel welcomed by Kylie she was kind, friendly, knowledgeable and explained how the appointment worked and booked me in to see Jess for a VECRA scan.
When I first walked in I was blown away by how beautiful the office is, again Kylie and the HPS team made me feel very welcomed.
I went and had my scan with Jess and during the appointment I was made to feel so comfortable, Jess knew that I had recently lost 60kg and taking off some clothes made me uncomfortable, Jess’s friendly personality, kindness and professionalism made me feel comfortable and gave me the confidence to ask the questions I wanted answers to. After my scan I booked in to see Dr Moncrieff.
At this appointment I was delighted to see that Nick was open and honest, had a lovely bedside manner and even had a sense of humour (a lot of Dr’s I have seen do not). This was a very important to both my husband and I when making our choice on who do have surgery with.
We walked out and knew without a doubt that we were going to book my mummy makeover with Dr Moncrieff.
On surgery day I was so nervous and Nick could not have done more to make me comfortable, his bedside manner is incredible. My surgery was completed and on day 3 I had the lovely Nurse Alecia come and visit me in hospital (with a beautiful gift bag) and to explain what I could and could not do once I was home, along with contact info to use at any time I needed, this was such a lovely touch and defiantly comes under is that 5 star treatment HPS have.
I am now nearly 6 months post op and I couldn’t fault Dr Moncrieff and his incredible team at HPS, I am very comfortable in recommending anyone who asks me as I truly believe that him and his team have changed my life with this surgery.

Absolutely amazing. My skin lost a lot of elasticity following a large weight loss about 8 years ago. Having already completed a tummy tuck and thigh lift with Dr Moncreiff previously, the last piece of the puzzle was my breast lift. I am 5 days post op and already the outcome is phenomenal. Dr Moncreiff is not only a remarkable surgeon that has produced the most stunning results with my body, but he is also a beautiful human as well. The entire HPS team has been so friendly, encouraging, informative and supportive throughout my surgery journey. I just can’t recommend them enough.
Truly 5 star service from the moment we walked in the door for our first consultations, through surgery and all the followup appointments. My sister and I were lucky enough to have our surgeries (extended tummy tuck with fleur de lis, and breast reduction/lift) in Jan/Feb 2019, and the results are even better than we expected! It was wonderful to see Dr Moncrieff and nurse Alecia during their visits while we were recovering in hospital, this shows how much they truly care for their patients. Our follow up appointments were also a breeze, and we felt comforted knowing we were in the best hands and had been given all the relevant information. I recently had my extended tummy tuck, muscle repair and inner and outer thigh liposuction performed by Dr Moncrieff. I already knew I was going to head back to the team at Hunter Plastic Surgery as I had had surgery previously with Dr Moncrieff before he was solely breast and body specialist and loved the whole team care and welcoming. From the initial meeting with Jess, to the surgery and after care with Alecia and reassuring phone chats with Kylie at reception I cannot fault my experience. Before my surgery I had become quite down about my appearance and subsequent health issues that came with this. This surgery has changed my life in so many ways and every day I’m still seeing changes which are improving my results and mindset. My husband is equally impressed and was there alongside me the whole way. Patient care is priority and it shows with the hospital visits and reassurance and encouragement on every level. Words cannot describe how life changing this breast augmentation experience with Dr Moncrieff and the team at Hunter Plastic Surgery has been.
Since around 16 or 17 years old I knew that I suffered from tuberous breasts and had always wanted to undergo a breast augmentation to correct them.
After so so so much research, in both Sydney, central coast and the Hunter I found Dr Moncrieff and the team and was so excited to know that he practiced here in Newcastle.
From the initial consultation to the surgery date, I never hesitated over my decision to choose Hunter plastic surgery.
Dr Moncrieff was precise and in depth about exactly what would need to be done in order to achieve the best result and I felt entirely confident that he knew what he was doing especially with a grade 2/3 tuberous breast deformity.
I am now 6 weeks post op, and I can say that the surgery was a 100% success and the results are PERFECT! The symmetry and shape Dr Moncrieff was able to achieve would make it impossible for anyone to believe I ever had a tuberous deformity to begin with! They are not just the perfect size and shape for my body, but look so incredibly natural!
The entire team were so excited and supportive the entire process, it truely has been such an amazing flawless experience from start to finish.
The post-op follow up care I received has been out of this world also! Alecia has answered every and all of my silly concerns following the surgery and was never to busy for me to pop back into the clinic to have a check up in person to calm my nerves about recovery.
Overall, Dr Moncrieff and the team have truely changed my confidence in life, can’t say enough thank you’s! You guys rock!

Incredible!! That is the word I would use if I had to pick only one. I recently had a full tummy tuck, breast lift and reduction and full liposuction in my thighs and arms. My experience from start to finish was incredible, the staff were so welcoming and warm, Jessica made me feel so comfortable from the moment I stepped into the practice. Dr Moncrieff told me what he could do and he said I would be shocked with the results but to be honest I had to see it to believe it, I had been overweight for so long and struggled with the excess skin that I just couldn’t see a future without it, oh boy was I wrong!!! My results are unbelievable, my stomach is so flat I could eat a meal off it, my breasts are beautiful and perky, my arms and thighs are half the size they were but my confidence has doubled in size!! I am so incredibly happy, I’m so so glad I made the choice to go through Hunter Plastic Surgery and the incredible Dr Moncrieff. I had a breast reduction in April of 2018. Being only 152 centremeters my size H cup was widly out of proportion to my frame. I am very happy with my new C cup breasts. I can now buy clothes that would have been impossible for me to wear previously and this summer buying swimwear has been a joy. Dr Moncrief and his staff were amazing from start to finish. The staff and care at Charlestown Private Hospital was beyond my expectations. My post op nurse Alecia was caring and reassuring through the healing process. If I were to ever have surgery again I would be confident in selecting Dr Moncrief and his practice.

I had a breast reduction with Dr Moncrieff. Best decision I ever made. No more migraines, sore neck and shoulders and a better quality of life. He really listened to my needs and we were on the same page from my initial consult. The day of my surgery he calmed my nerves and gave me the best set of new boobs I’ve ever seen. After massive weight loss, I was left with loose tummy skin and somewhat misshapen breasts. I felt like I hadn’t achieved my weight loss and health goals, having the flappy skin. After searching for a while, I came across Dr Nicholas Moncrieff. I’d written a little checklist, and once I had my appointment with Dr Moncrieff, he ticked all the boxes.
