Hello, I\’m a 26 year old female. I\’ve just finished Breastfeeding my 1 year old daughter. Pre pregnancy I had 12D breasts but since feeding my daughter I\’ve been left with empty up the top and extremely saggy breasts. My areolas are also quite large. I know I would require both a lift and implants. I\’m located in south east Melbourne. Do you have any recommendations? Also do you have a rough idea of cost and if I would be entitled to anything back from Medicare ? Thank you very much Amanda
Hi Stella,
Prices vary greatly from surgeon to surgeon – a breast augmentation can be anywhere between $6,000 and $20,000 depending on the surgeon, implants, hospital, etc. We always suggest consulting with at least two qualified Australian Plastic Surgeons to not only compare prices, but to identify which one you are more comfortable with and suits your needs. Here’s a link to some Melbourne Plastic Surgeons – there are some awesome ones in and around Melbourne! A qualified Plastic Surgeon will be able to advise if you might be eligible for a Medicare Rebate – unfortunately, any surgery purely for cosmetic reasons is generally not covered by Medicare.
Hope this helps. Best of luck on your journey x
Trish
