Breast lift with implants

I am a 29 year old female. I have 3 children aged 5, almost 4 and 17 months. I breastfed each for around 10 months each. I am roughly a size 8. I am 171cm tall and weigh 54kg. I have had a consultation with Dr M Miroshnik and am looking for a second opinion due to his quotes being out of my price range. It is very hard for me to go to numerous consultations in person due to organising care for my children. Basically, when I seen Dr Miroshnik, he said that due to the amount of loose skin that I have, if I was wanting just a breast augmentation, then I would need to go with a larger size implant to fill up the loose skin. A larger size being roughly 450cc. This size was too big for my liking and comfort as I was wanting to achieve a more natural look. So the second option he gave me, was to have a breast lift with augmentation. He said because he can cut away some of the excess skin, that he is able to place a smaller implant in which would be around a 330cc size. I was extremely happy with this size. He also said that my nipples are not Ponting downwards, so that he doesn’t really need to move them up with the lift which is a good thing apparently. I have full in cover health insurance with NIB and a $500 hospital excess. I am wanting to try and narrow down my search for a good breast surgeon that doesn’t charge over the $18,000 mark after Medicare and health fund rebates. I have emailed several surgeons and some like Dr Benjamin Norris and Dr James Southwell-Keely are coming back at around the $11,800 after Medicare and health fund rebates for a breast lift with implants which is more suited to my price range compared to Dr Miroshnik. I did hear from Dr Tavakoli’s secretary and she advised me that he charges around $21,000 after Medicare and health fund rebates. Can anyone tell me why some Dr’s like Dr Tavakoli and Miroshnik drastically charge so much more? I have listed the surgeons that I have emailed. Can anyone tell me any good and bad reviews that they have had with them? Dr Graham Sellarsdr James Southwell-KeelyDr Mark Edinburg-Eden instituteDr Steve MertonDr Charles copeDr MiroshnikDr Benjamin Norris-Face and Form Thank you

Hi Brynn, there can certainly be a huge difference in pricing for similar procedures depending on which surgeon you go to, however you do need to consider your needs and what you might be paying for.  You would absolutely love our closed Facebook group where patients discuss and review different surgeons, results and support each other through their journeys.  Email me your name, facebook name/link and phone number on trish@plasticsurgeryhub.com.au and I will add you to the group where I think you will find the information you are looking for.  I look forward to hearing from you.
