Large keloid on left earlobe

I have a very large keloid on my left ear and after 3 surgeries, laser treatments and numerous steroid shots it has not stopped growing. After becoming pregnant with my son and not getting any treatment in that 9 months, it has grown dramatically and is now the size of a large grape and goes half way up my ear. I am seeing a plastic surgeon now who says it’s too large to shrink with steroid injections and that the removal of the keloid will mean I will have no lobe left. Is it recommended for me to have an earlobe reconstruction after this? Is there an alternative to removing my whole earlobe?
