making one breast smaller

Q & A’sCategory: Breastmaking one breast smaller
AvatarAnonymous asked 5 years ago

I had a baby over a year ago and I’ve got another due in a few months. Since having my first one, I’ve started to notice that one side of my breast is noticeably smaller than the other. I wish to make the bigger side smaller. Would that qualify for any rebates?

Firstly, I would suggest waiting until after you have given birth to your second child, and finish breastfeeding.  Women’s bodies and breasts can change after these experiences and you can make a decision after that time.  There is currently still a medicare item number for breast reduction, but it’s very strict.
The only way to know your individual circumstances would be to consult a plastic surgeon.
Here’s a link to our plastic surgeon directory.  Hope that helps. Trish
