Is there a particular scar treatment product that you would recommend for mole removal by plastic surgery on face?

Hi Nektaria, Once the sutures have been removed, I tell my patients they can start wearing make-up and treating the wound normally, Many scars are red, raised a lumpy for a few months after surgery. There are a few things that can be done to improve the appearance of scars. Massage commencing three weeks after surgery with either bio-oil, silicone gel or Vitamin E cream. The silicone gel is the most expensive but no good studies have been performed showing that it is superior to miosteurisers like the bio-oil or Vitamin E cream. Protect the scar from the sun Don’t smoke! It is important to wait until the wound is well and truly healed before massaging anything into the wound. Silicon sheeting is another option. It provides pressure to the wound as well as silicon BUT most patients don\’t like walking around with a strip of silicon on their face 12 – 16 hours a day. The silicon gel is clear so doesn’t show up. I hope this helps.
