I have varicose veins on my legs and have seen a vascular surgeon from Brisbane who has told me he thinks i have pelvic congestion syndrome and to treat this will need to perform an ovarian vein embolisation. I want to rid my legs of the unsightly veins (both spider and varicose) as i am 36 yo and am embarrassed by the look and get a lot of pain and discomfort from them too.
I also have had two children and gained and lost about 30kgs. I have an umbilical hernia and abdominal muscle separation, sagging deflated breasts and other ‘more private’ areas that need attention. I have already had a delormes (12cm removed) and anal sphincter repair but am still experiencing prolapse and incontinence.
I feel like i have so much wrong with me that i don’t know where to start and i feel old and haggard. The ovarian vein embolisation is over $2000 out of pocket expense and i am unsure what results i will receive. I am not getting a lot of information about the procedure and i wondered if anyone has heard of this? Is there an alternative? Could i have multiple treatments done at the same time to reduce costs? I can’t even find another surgeon that i can get a second opinion with. I do get a lot of pelvic pain but is this a result of past surgery?
So many questions… feeling overwhelmed. Please Help!
