One breast is larger than the other

I had leaking implants replaced and now one breast is significantly bigger than the other.  My plastic surgeon said I had a lot of capsule he could not remove but that does not explain why my breast now flows under my arm. Can only one breast be operated on to even them up?  How much approx.?

Hi Trish, this is definitely something you should be seeing your plastic surgeon about.  You should be able to ask your plastic surgeon about any concerns you have regarding your procedure and I would head back to explain you are still not completely happy or comfortable with the results.   I’m not sure on your individual circumstances and standing with your surgeon, however if you are not happy with the outcome of the original procedure your surgeon should be addressing this.

If you are not comfortable going back to your original surgeon, I suggest you arrange a consult with another surgeon to get a second opinion.  The cost is going to depend on your particular situation and also which surgeon you have perform the procedure.  A consult with a second surgeon might also be worth it in your case to ensure you have heard all options and can compare pricing.

I hope this helps and if you would like to discuss this further please send me an email on trish@plasticsurgeryhub.com.au and we can swap phone numbers.   Trish
