After a few months of researching doctors for my breast augmentation I decided to have a consult with Dr Scott Turner.
From the first contact I had with his office which was with Ghislaine his receptionist I knew I was going to be in the right hands. I had numerous questions about the surgery, fees, implants etc. This was all before actually having met with Dr Turner.

When I first met Dr Turner in November last year, I immediately felt comfortable and knew I was in the right place. I had done a bit of research myself online, but as we all know its best to get the answers direct from the someone whose job it is to know all of this.

As with any surgery there are always risks involved and therefore I wanted to make sure I was in the most qualified hands I could be. Yes there are cheaper options out there for breast implants, however if you are willing to be cut open and go under the knife, to me its more important to be taken care of by someone who has done the right training and has the proper accreditation and this was the type of Plastic Surgeon I wanted looking after me.

I came to the first appointment with a list of questions – he answered all of them. He took the time to get to know me, asked me what I wanted out of this surgery, what my expectations were, why I wanted the surgery etc. I wasn’t just another operation to him. Dr Turner thoroughly explained the type of implant, profile and size. He really listened to the look and shape I was after. I didn’t want anything too big or something that wouldn’t look natural. Time was not an issue and I was never made to feel that I couldn’t ask a question or take the time to make sure I was doing the right thing. Going into the appointment I knew I was going to go ahead with the surgery, but I had a few questions and I wasn’t exactly sure on the size.

I’m quite small overall and didn’t want to look fake, or have these massive boobs which looked out of place on my body. I am quite small framed so I didn’t want them to look over the top, or for people to notice straight away that they were implants. I wanted a very natural look. After I tried on a few different sizes I was still not able to make up my mind between them. Its not like going to a clothing shop trying on a dress and later thinking oh well I should have gotten the bigger or smaller size so I will return it. Once they are in, they are in! So I had to make the right decision. Given that I couldn’t decide, Dr Turner told me to come back again in a week or so and try the sizes on again and to ask as many questions as I had leading up to the surgery.

When I had my 2nd appointment with Dr Turner I tried on the different sizes again, to make the final decision on which size implant I was going to have. He also went over what to expect with the surgery, and recovery as well. I was now all booked in for surgery on the 19th December. The hospital called me the day before to run over things with me, let me know to fast, what time to be there etc. On the day of my surgery I arrived to meet Dr Turner at the hospital. He went over the procedure with me again, asked if I had any questions and started to prepare me for the surgery. He started to draw the lines all over me to mark me and and confirm all the measurements for the surgery. At this point I started to get a little nervous but I was excited about the surgery. I knew I was in the right hands and had made the right decision with Dr. Turner and his team. The team at the hospital were all very polite and took amazing care of me. I could not speak highly enough of them.

When I was taken in the nurse and Dr Turner spoke to me and let me know once again what was happening. When I woke I couldn’t believe how little pain I was in. I was placed in the compression bra and was moved to a chair to sit in while I was recovering for a few hours. I was able to eat and drink pretty much straight away. Dr Turner came in and told me everything went smoothly. He had me lift my arms over my head which I was amazed that I could do with such ease. Of course there was that feeling of tightness in my chest but I was surprised with the outcome. I was then dressed in my clothes I had bought to wear home. I was on the phone messaging friends who wanted to know how it all went. They were surprised that I was sitting up and was able to move about to a degree.

The drive home from the hospital was approximately 1 hour. I was still a little groggy, however the pain was very minimal, only a little sore with a feeling of pressure on my chest. The next day when I woke up I was still feeling much better than I expected. After I had a bath (as you are not allowed to get the breasts or the compression bra wet) I spent the next few days relaxing at home. I made the occasional trip to the shops for coffee with friends. I felt quite tired at times but this was from the anaesthetic still in my system.

Approximately 4 days later I returned to his office to check how the implants were healing.

Then about 1 month later I visited him again to check on their progress. They are still healing well and the scar is great. I cant believe how small and neat the scar is. This is a benefit of going to a Plastic Surgeon such as Dr Turner. Not only are you getting the right implants etc but the scar which for a little while will be visible, but still continues to fade.

I am now 2 months post surgery and could not be happier. From the initial contact with Dr Turner to today my experience has been amazing. I would highly recommend Dr Turner and his office for any surgery. Dr Turner gives you his professional, honest and caring opinion as what he knows would give you the best results and more importantly the size and look you are after.

Thank you Dr Turner, and your team!
