I’m going to talk to you today about a device called the Ultraformer. It’s the latest and the most advanced device using ultrasound technology for lifting and contouring, and it is now available in Australia.
Now the Ultra Former works through a non-invasive targeting of different layers of the skin through micro-focused, high intensity ultrasound waves that actually penetrate without damaging the epidermis. Now this focussed energy reaches the SMAS, which is the layer involved in surgical face lifting and it causes immediate contraction and triggers cell renewal which results in a more natural tightening and smoothing effect for both the face and the body.
The Ultraformer uses precise micro-focused ultrasound waves that focus on specifically targeting soft tissue layers in order to assist in growing new collagen which provides you with a more toned, tighter and smoother appearance without the invasiveness or downtime that other treatments might offer.
Now the technology for the Ultra Former can be used almost in anywhere on the body but it’s really popular for areas like your face, your chin, your neck, your jaw line, your forehead, your eye wrinkles, cheek, eyebrows, skin tightening, basically anywhere that you are wanting a bit of a tightening effect.
So if you’re looking for a practitioner that offers the Ultraformer as one of the procedures in their clinic, just drop us a line at info@plasticsurgery.com.au or click on the find a practitioner at the bottom of this video blog.
Thank you.
Hi,
I watched your clip on ultraformer and would appreciate if you could advise the following:
1) Procedure, is it painful?
2) Any side effects ( on brown spots or discoloration on forehead and cheeks, thyroids when is used on the neck, )
3) How long would the effect (youthfulness) last?
4) Would it get rid of fine lines under eyes and laugh lines?
5) Can Botox and fillers be used after the procedure?
6) what is the after care procedure?
7) How often should the procedure be repeated?
8) how much is the cost of procedure on the neck and face?
Thanks
can you please tell me if their is anywhere on the mornington peninsula that uses this
can you please tell me how long the effects last
Hi Montana
I can’t answer all your questions, but have forwarded it onto the distributors of the device to respond to the technical/medical questions.
I’ve had the procedure on my neck, and here’s my responses to your questions that I can answer.
1. Painful – I couldn’t believe how painful IT WASN’T!! I’ve had a similar procedure done a few years ago and I had to stop half way through it as it was unbearable. So I was hesitant to have this, but pain level was good (for me!).
2. I haven’t had any side effects at all, except a bit of redness on the day for a couple of hours.
3. Not sure how long it would last, but 6 weeks down the track and I can notice a tightening of my ‘turkey neck’.
4. Don’t know about ‘getting rid of lines’ but I would imagine the skin tightening effect would be the same on the treated area.
5. I believe so, but wait for response from distributor.
6. I drank heaps of water afterwards (not sure why but I thought it was best?!). From memory I don’t remember doing anything for aftercare.
7. I’ve had 1 procedure and am having another in 2 months.
8. Prices vary according to clinic, so you’d have to ask the individual clinic. Hopefully the distributors will be able to give you more of an indication.
The number of clinics that offer this around Australia is growing (it’s a new treatment). If you’d like to know the closest clinic offering the treatment to you, drop us an email info@plasticsurgeryhub.com.au
Hope that helps!
Trish

I had Ultraformer performed on my lower face and jowls recently and I found it very painful in places. I was in tears because it became such that it was almost unbearable, in fact it was, but I knew I couldn’t stop, so I had to see both sides through. I cried and cried. I think the promoters and technicians who use this machine SHOULD be more open about the ‘worst case scenario’, which my technician (and she was just lovely, and lots of fun, we had a connection) don’t let on about.
It just hurt so much, it was like electricity being introduced in places in your face. Some bits were bearable but it is the painful bits that overwhelm the bearable bits. My tech refused to do my neck until the following week when I got over this trauma first. My neck was equally painful and unbearable in places but at least I knew what to expect, and I got it. But I didn’t cry this time.
It hurt me like hell. I suspect it has something to do with fillings in your teeth. But I don’t have fillings in my neck, so go figure.
I don’t expect this review to get published. I have had 5 babies by natural birth, a double kidney infection, and a smashed wrist that hurt so much I couldn’t cry, I wanted to just kill myself. I’m no stranger to pain. I just hope all this money and pain has been worth it.
I am wondering what is the difference with ultharapy. I know they are both HIFU machines but I would like to know how they compare in terms of cosmetic outcomes and any othe rdifferences you can point out
thank you
hi Adele
I was at a conference last week and there was a presentation by UltraFormer. Basically they said it was like an updated version of the Ultherapy. From what I understand it may be a bit less expensive to have it done.
Let met know if you need a practitioner who has the UltraFormer, and I’ll need to know where you’re located to.
Hope that helps,
Trish

Hi Trish,
May I know the different between Ultra former and Thermage? Do know you draftly the cost and where i can have it done?
Hi Annie
Where are you located?

Thanks

hi ,
I recently had a consultation about this in London, it was half the price of Ultherapy, however I was told it only lasts about 8 months (from the actual treatment date) and that it would take 3 months for it to take effect and therefore they recommend another top up treatment (costing the same!) 8 months later. This means that if there is no effect taken place in the first 3 months- that i would only enjoy 5 -6 months of benefits…As opposed to the Ultherapy which i am told lasts 12-18 months, at least you get more for your money! If i have been told incorrectly, can you please advise on your opinion of this ?
I don’t think that info you received is correct.
Hi Trish,
What is the cost for one session of the ultaformer and should they include the neck as well as the face?
Hi Helene
Depends if you buy 1 off or a group, and also who does it. With regards the neck and face – once again depends where you go, and you have to clarify that when you have a consultation about it. Where are you located?
Trish

Hi, I’m located in the uk and wonder who the stockist/trainers are for the ultra former 111 machine?
Thank you
What is the difference between Ultraformer 111 and Thermage. I have had Thermage twice, about two years apart, the last time about four years ago. I didn’t get it done to my eyes because the procedure in that area sounded scary.
Is the Ultraformer done the same way around the eyes? What is the price comparison between the two?
Ultraformer is High intensity focussed ultrasound technology, and thermage uses radio frequency.
Hi Margaret,
Ultraformer III uses Micro and macro focussed ultrasound technology at very specific depths in the skin and SMAS to tight and lift the tissue. Thermage uses monopolar Radiofrequency to bulk heat the tissue. Bulk heating is not specific and radiates from the epidermis down, with the least energy in the deep dermis and smas (where we need it most to address sagging and laxity). Most clients who have had both Thermage and Ultraformer, report that Ultraformer is much less painful. This was my experience also.
Ultraformer III can also be used safely around the eyes, without the need for ocular shields. It has a macro-focussed cartridge that penetrates to 2 mm and can be used every 2 weeks safely and without pain. This cartridge can also be used to address lip lines, nasolabial folds, accordion lines and forehead wrinkles.
Ultraformer generally costs less than Thermage for a full face treatment, it is also faster and way less painful.
You can find a clinic with Ultraformer III at http://www.ultraformer.com.au
How many impluses at one goal are necessary to obtain a result with Ultraformer? I read somewhere that for Ultherapy the best result will come after applying a bit more than 800 and for Doublo-s 1200. How about Ultraformar?
hiya again,
the supplier will answer once they see this.
Trish
Just to spicify. How many impulses for full-face treatment?
Mmm good question, I’ve asked the supplier to respond.
