One in eight Australian women will get breast cancer throughout the course of their life and almost all of us have been affected by it in some way. The Australian Practitioners Advisory Network (APAN) have got together with the Think Pink Foundation and will be launching a campaign where a percentage of all participating clinics’ proceeds during the month of October 2016 will go to the Think Pink Foundation.

Skin and Wellness Month, October 2016

Clinics and salons throughout Australia will be participating. Consumers are encouraged to book in at one of these locations to experience special treatments during the month of October, and be introduced to some amazing products to improve their skin health and overall well being; and at the same time support an extremely worthy cause. We always appreciate and respond to businesses who partake in pursuits that contribute back to the community.

APAN Think Pink Initiative

The Think Pink Foundation established the wellness facility The Living Centre located in Melbourne, Victoria and supports breast cancer patients and their families by providing several much appreciated and needed services and holistic support completely free of charge. The Think Pink Foundation aim to have fully operational Living Centres in every capital city within Australia in the next five years. The APAN/Think Pink Skin and Wellness Month is specifically to assist in making this happen. They aim to raise $100,000 or more!

Great Marketing/PR Opportunity for Businesses

As part of this initiative APAN will undertake an extensive marketing and PR campaign and it is a great opportunity for any participating clinics or salons to promote their business and their products and services to consumers without the usual huge costs involved in doing so. It also gives them a chance to be a part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and expand their brand awareness. As part of the salon or clinic’s participation, they will receive a special Decal for display in their window to identify them to consumers as being a part of the initiative. They will also be given brochures and other promotional material such as templates, banners, logos and wording to help create a uniform and professional promotional reach across Australia, as well as over 30 marketing ideas to promote their business. Not only that, a finalist Salon/Clinic in each State will be recognised as raising the most money and will receive additional media recognition as well as a Travel and Accommodation package!
