Trish: I’m here today with Michelle Kearney from Bella Aesthetics. I’m really excited; there’s an amazing new product that’s just come on the market. It’s called Lids by Design, and it’s for people that have the really heavy eye and don’t want to go down the surgery path, basically. Tell us about it, Michelle.

Michelle: It’s pretty exciting, Trish. When I was in the U.S., all of the medi spas were selling this and I thought, “I’ve never seen that before.” I spoke to the women that were having it, and they were so excited; because it’s something that they wear every day, they don’t know they’ve got it on, they can put makeup on top of it, it’s hypoallergenic … It’s just a little strip that they put on top of their eyelids each day and they get an instant eyelid. It looks like they’ve had a bleph; they can put makeup on and they look … They’re just so happy with it. It’s amazing.

Trish: It’s perfect for ladies or men that have got a really heavy lid and they …

Michelle: Yes, yes.

Trish: Just want to open their eyes a bit more.

Michelle: Absolutely. When I first saw it I thought, “Oh, women will go crazy about it.” But since then the men that have used it … they can’t feel it, and they’re not used to wearing makeup. They love it and they leave it on all day.

Trish: Fantastic.

Michelle: A lot of women say, “Oh, I think I’ll just wear it on weekends,” well, after two or three days they’re like, “No, I can’t go without it. I have to wear it. It’s just fantastic.”

Trish: Do you put it on and off every day?

Michelle: Yeah, you just put each little strip on in the morning, put your makeup on, and then at night time when you take your eye makeup off it just comes off, or you could just use a washer with water on it. Comes straight off.

Trish: Great. Well, this is really exciting. It’s a bit of a game changer. There’s nothing like this on the market at the moment, and it avoids having to have the big surgical thing as well, so …

Michelle: Yeah, or it gets you ready… Some people think, “Look, I’m not really sure if I’m ready for surgery,” because actually in America a lot of the doctors who do the blepharoplasty are using it to say to their patients, “Do you want to have just a very subtle thing, or would you like to have a more intense open eyelid?” They’re using it as well. Then if the patient says, “Let me think about it.” “Sure. Wear this for six months … a year, and then, when you’re ready, have surgery or not, it’s up to you.”

Trish: So, you can see what you’re going to look like before you’ve even have it done as well.

Michelle: Exactly.

Trish: Awesome. Well, if you’re interested in this product, just drop us an email at, or give us a call or look up Bella Aesthetics as well. Thank you so much.

Michelle: Thank you, Trish, thanks for that.
