At the Plastic Surgery Hub we encourage anyone who is considering having plastic surgery to fully inform themselves of the nature of the procedure and the risks involved. Within the site we endeavour to provide you with an introduction to these things so as to assist you in your decision making. The final decision to undergo any sort of surgery should not be taken lightly and should definitely not be influenced by the lure of an overseas holiday or by the offer of cheap services. Surgery is a serious matter and once having decided that having a procedure is important and would be of benefit to you, then the only factors that you should consider are:
- The qualifications and experience of your consulting surgeon;
- The quality of the facility where the operation will be performed;
- The level of after surgery care that is available;
- How comfortable you are with your surgeon.
We maintain that you can only get these things by consulting face to face with a surgeon and having your surgery in Australia. We recommend that you should first consult with a doctor recognized by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons as being qualified to undertake plastic surgery. Such a doctor can display the initials FRACS (Plastic) after their name and they will be a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). We strongly recommend that if you are seeking to consult with a doctor regarding having a procedure that you consult only doctors listed on our directory of surgeons. We invite you to utilise the PlasticSurgeryHub to research your options and find the right surgeon or cosmetic practitioner for you. Connect with me on Google+ at +Trish Hammond
