What does it cost? This is one of the first questions anyone usually asks when it comes to looking at plastic surgery. The answer is it greatly varies.
We have done the research for you and come up with a general price guide for each procedure. These are an approximate guide only; each doctor, surgery and clinic can vary dramatically in their pricing. It can also depend on how much work is involved in your particular procedure, which hospital you choose and how much after care is required. Whether you are insured or not can also make a big difference. It pays to note that just because a particular surgeon charges less, does not by any means make them a less competent surgeon. In fact, quite a few of the leading surgeons actually have very competitive prices.
When asking for an estimate on a particular procedure make sure you ask the surgeon if that includes your hospital stay, the anesthetist and the pre and post op consultation fees. The prices we have listed below are inclusive of all charges involved in the procedures and are in Australian Dollars.
Breast Augmentation
$7,000 – $15,000
Abdominoplasty
$6,000 – $16,000
Rhinoplasty
$8,000 – $12,000
Cheek Augmentation
$6,000 – $20,000
Face and Neck Lift
$10,000 – $22,000
Labiaplasty (Vaginal Rejuvenation)
$3,000 – $7,000
Buttock Augmentation
$10,000 – $20,000
Blepharoplasty/Eyelid Surgery
Upper or Lower (on it’s own) $1,800 – $5,000
Upper & Lower (performed at the same time) $5,000 – $11,000
So as you can see, the results of our research were staggering in that the range of pricing for each surgery was quite high. We recommend you phone at least three different surgeons/clinics before making any decisions about where you have your surgery; taking into account not just pricing, but quality, reputation of the surgeon and suitability for you and your procedure.
